Ministry of National Defense issued a press release to explains that “Taipei District Prosecutors Office carried out investigations on procurement procedures at the Armaments Bureau and Arsenal 202”. (August 8th, 2018)

The Ministry of National Defense says today (8th) that prosecutor from Taipei Prosecutors Office led a team of investigators from the Taipei Investigation Division of Investigation Bureau, Ministry of Justice (MJIB) in the morning to the Armaments Bureau and its Arsenal 202 to conduct investigations on procurement procedures as well as questioning relevant personnel.

The Ministry of National Defense states that the Armaments Bureau and its Arsenal 202 have cooperated with the prosecutors and investigators by providing them necessary documents and files. Responsible personnel also went to the Taipei Investigation Division of MJIB at 13:00 for questioning in order to shed light to the case.

The Ministry of National Defense stresses that it will support judicial investigations by cooperating throughout the case based on the rule of law and the principle of “never mistreat the innocent and never turn a blind eye to evil” to shed light to the causes and reveal the truth.
